Stanwell State School is a small band-05 rural school, situated along the Capricorn Highway, approximately 30 minutes from Rockhampton. The school was established in 1876, and has been serving the Stanwell area for over 125 years. There are approximately 40 students at the school, enabling us to have two classes; P-3 and 4-7. Our school’s culture and ethos is based around the ‘5 Cs’ (care, concern, consideration, co-operation and courtesy). We believe in our vision, every child, every day, learning, in every way.
Whilst we have the feel of a small school, we have the benefits of a larger school, with music, physical education (PE) and Languages other than English (LOTE) being delivered to the school by specialist teachers. We have a school chaplain, and religious education lessons are provided by a volunteer.
Stanwell State School is committed to providing quality education to all of its students from the Stanwell community, through its powerful values of study, service, and sincerity.
